I am one of the bigger Noah Syndergaard fans out there.  I think the 2nd act of his career with a repaired elbow is going to be a marvel and I hope it's with the Mets.  That being said, Michael made me an offer to acquire deGrom and I didn't even want to counter or hesitate- I just had to double check my cap situation.  deGrom/Buehler/Berrios/Marquez is going to be fun.  Over to the Rox

Confirmed. Building for the future, I like Cavaco, Uceta and Oviedo and am hopeful about Syndegaard. Had a couple offers for deGrom that made it tough but smooth dealing with Cody.

A league member has triggered the league vote on this trade. Here is the rule as written in the constitution:

3. If any manager in the league has an issue with a trade they must submit a trade protest via private message to the commissioner's office within 24 hours. One protest will trigger a league wide vote on the trade by all managers not involved in the trade. In order for a trade to be vetoed a simple majority (or more than 50%) of the managers not involved in the trade must vote to veto. The trade will pass on votes with less than 50% voting veto and on tied votes. All veto votes must include a detailed explanation of why the trade should be vetoed.

All league members other than Dodgers and Rockies are required to cast a vote. In order to keep my vote from unduly influencing the outcome I will hold my vote until the end. If you are unsure how you should vote, you should hold for a few hours and read the explanations as they come in. If you’re still unsure you should vote to approve. All veto votes must be accompanied by an explanation per the rule. This is meant to be a high bar, but it’s also meant to give everyone a voice.

The voting will conclude when everyone has voted. If you fail to vote within 24 hours I’ll be reaching out.

I have no objections to the trade. DeGrom is one of the best pitchers in baseball which makes it hard to make a deal. Taking a chance on Noah coming back from injury and returning to form and sending 3 prospects seems like a return a team selling looking to dump cap would do.

While I wouldn’t make this trade, knowing that Michael presented this to Cody after receiving a few offers on Degrom from other teams, makes this an easy decision for me. I approve the trade and wish the best of luck to both parties:
