Pavin Smith, CI/OF ARZ - $500k in 21, $750k in 22 with 3 years of arbitration to follow
Mac Sceroler, P BAL - MiLB Contract

Daniel Ponce De Leon, SP STL - $750k in 21 with 3 years of arbitration to follow
Lane Thomas, OF STL - $600k in 21, $750k in 22 with 3 years of arbitration to follow
The Reds don’t see a big drop off in offensive production between Smith and Thomas given that both won’t be mainstays this season and Thomas definitely has a larger power stroke. Where this makes a difference for me is that I have that final pitcher I’ve been searching for. Now I can start to play matchups and use my pitching to its best ability, especially if De Leon can be a little more consistent.
Note: O’Neil Cruz will be demoted to MiLB roster to make room for both players on the active roster.
