Cardinals trade:
Harrison Bader OF STL - 21: $1.45M, 22: ARB2, 23: ARB3 Elehuris Montero CI STL - 21: $0.5M, 22: MiLB
Nationals trade:
Kyle Finnegan P WAS - 21: 500k, 22: pre-ARB Seth Romero P WAS- 21: 500k, 22-25: pre-ARB Drew Mendoza (CI/OF) WAS
I agree to this deal. I’m a big fan of Mendoza and hope that he can end up being as solid as I think when will be. Romero had a little MLB time last season so I’m looking forward to him in 2021. Finnegan pitched well in 2020 and he should be a nice addition.

Confirmed. For me this was about getting an OF with a full time role, as right now I was heading into the season with Garcia and Stevenson platooning my third OF slot. While I think Bader is a better real life asset than in fantasy, he's got decent power and speed, and I think he's bound to improve from his current floor. Plus I have a soft spot for him as a previous Cardinals GM. Also a big fan of Montero, who has all the making of a solid corner infielder who can hit for power after two seasons lost to injury. Cardinals have a record for developing good infielders, and with a potential change in scenery on the horizon, I like his upside. Tough to part with Mendoza, who I think could be a very solid player, but felt his path to playing time was blocked for the foreseeable future. Same with Romero if he's able to stay healthy and address his "character" issues. Here's hoping this trade works out for both parties. Great dealing with Chris.
