Twins Trade:
- Adam Frazier, MI/OF (KC): $4.5M | UFA
- Joe Rock, P (TB): MiLB

Diamondbacks Trade:
- Max Kepler, OF (MIN): $5M | UFA <-- Bought down 50%

Rational: Well I've come full circle on Kepler after he may have been the first player I traded away after taking over this team. Kepler will give me some quality ABs and should be in the mix to contribute every week. If he keeps playing they way he has been so far this season, there's a chance he earns an extension and can be a part of our longer term plans. Frazier unfortunately wasn't getting it done after resigning this offseason, and was having trouble seeing the field. I'm sure trading Rock away will mean he turns into the next Rays ace, but that's the price of doing business. Sending him and the picks to make the swap hopefully puts me in a better position to compete this season.

Confirmed! A one-year Kepler contract doesn’t do much for me in a rebuild year. I like what Rock’s shown so far, and while I don’t know if he’s destined for the rotation or the bullpen, I trust the Rays to get the most out of him and have him contribute at the big league level by next year. Happy to add more bullets for the draft in the process, and added Frazier into the deal to make the salaries works for the Twins.
