Nick Castellanos: $20m (2026) *Fran Tag*
3rd round pick (via Braves)

Angels trade:

Masataka Yoshida: $20m (2027)

--Yoshida is a few years younger but the deal frees up my Franchise Tag. That's the biggie here. Thanks!

Angels confirm.

Swapping a couple of distressed assets here. I think Castellanos is a better hitter than Yoshida, hence my desire to swap. Taking the tag isn't ideal, but I didn't foresee wanting to use it on anyone this coming offseason, so it was less of a burden.
