I needed to clear some cap space. Mears and Tate looked promising at the beginning of the year but Tate was optioned and Mears pitches in Coors. Easy talks with Colin. Over to CHC to confirm.

Cubs agree. Requires some more prospect churn on my end, but I like Hernandez and maybe Tate and Mears will be turned into assets later if I'm lucky.
