I was looking for some MI depth, and Nunez may proved that a lot sooner than Smith will. Bailey offered exactly what this deal is. Over to him to confirm!

On a personal level, Nunez is one of my favorite prospects. Stolen-base-wise, I could see him going the 2023 Esteury Ruiz route. He also is pretty much a lock for a Gold Glove if he gets playing time. The PT is the reason I am willing to trade him though - I’m not sure if I’m sold on him as a hitter. Smith is a long ways away too, but I’d rather gamble that he breaks out into a top prospect.
