My bench is pretty thin as it is and IKF will provide me a bit more positional flexibility than Velazquez, especially as he should also gain MI eligibility early in the season. I am a big fan of Velazquez, but Jonathon had interest in him and we were able to make it work. Dealt with Jonathon a few times now and always been good. Over to the Royals to confirm

I had signed IKF initially to provide some roster flexibility for my Active lineup, but realistically, as a young team, he's not in my long-term plans. I like Velazquez quite a bit. Liked him as a CHC prospect, & happy he got dealt to KC, which I think will open up ABs. He could settle in long-term for me, depending on his ability to develop. Garrett was added just for contractual purposes.
