Brandon Drury, CI/MI, LAA 2024: $8M (Cardinals retain 50%)
Brandon Marsh, OF, PHI 2024: $850K, 2025 - 2027: arbitration
The market currently has limited options and bids have increased accordingly. This deal allows me to spend prospect capital to fill out my lineup instead of cap space. Drury provides a solid floor and some infield depth. Marsh really seems to be coming into his own and fitting in quite nicely in the Phillies outfield while also providing some long term control. Mervis may well live up to his potential and both Tidwell and Gutierrez are also solid prospects, but I feel the price is worth it. Great dealing with Zack on this and good luck going forward. Over to the Cardinals to confirm.
