Avisail Garcia (21: $8,200,000, 22: FA)
Trei Cruz (MiLB)

Reds trade:
CIN 2021 1st rd pick

Pretty quick to knock this out with Adam. Garcia was signed more of a stop gap for the year, and I like Cruz, but believe the pick presents more upside potential, so feels like a good move to continue building a solid foundation for this franchise.

Garcia and Smith, while not elite, are upgrades over Akiyama and Goodwin at approximately the same value in my eyes. Plus Garcia is an everyday starter that I was looking for.

Losing out a first round pick stinks but, I’ve become a top contender in the NL Central and I still love my minor league pitching. Cruz helps give me a guy nearer to the majors with his advanced approach and versatile positionality. Just gotta hope he can be more like a David Fletcher or Mauricio Dubon type than a Kyle Farmer.
