Trade Made
Texas Rangers send: Leody Taveras TEX (OF) Jairo Pomares SF (OF) (prospect)
KC Royals send: Brady Singer KC (SP) Jared Shuster CWS (SP)
I accept. All & all, I think this is a pretty even swap of hitters for pitchers. I looked at my team, & felt like my offense is highly lackluster, while I've managed to build up my Pitching quite a bit in comparison. Taveras has looked better & better each year. He's still only 24, & will slide directly into my starting lineup, on a reasonable contract & still some years of control. Hopefully he cements his spot in the TEX lineup. They seem to like him... they had him hitting 5th at times in the Playoffs last season. Pomares is an interesting power-heavy prospect; hope he can improve his plate discipline & climb his way up. Didn't wanna lose Singer especially, but I think Taveras fits my team better, now & later.
Great talking trade with Texas. I hope we both mutually benefit here. Cheers.
**Pomares will transfer directly into KC's milb roster**

Texas accepts.
My first move in this league is to acquire some pitching. I loved watching Taveras play in the World Series, but my philosophy is always to find hitters and trade for more established pitching. Losing Taveras hurts but this gives me an actual Starting Pitcher for my roster! Something currently missing from this team. I think Pomares will be good, but I have a good number of power prospects and can afford to part with one.
Hoping that with a few minor tweaks and with a better KC team Singer can revert to that 2022 form. Schuster is a flier and should get his chances to pitch in a woeful White Sox rotation. Maybe Brian Bannister can find the secret sauce to make him reestablish his tarnished 1st round potential.
A pleasure working with KC throughout. Hope for the best for both of us from this deal.
