TB sends: Casey Martin, MI/CI (PHI) - Prospect Taj Bradley, P (TB) - Prospect
STL sends: Ivan Herrera, C (STL) - Prospect Jordan Walker, CI (STL) - Prospect 2022 FYPD 3rd Round Pick (SEA)
TB Logic: I like Herrera. Wasn’t sure if it made sense to get him since I already have Varsho and Hernandez, but I figured Herrera will be an insurance policy if Varsho becomes a full-time outfielder. I like getting Walker too; he’s far away but could be a good power bat. This trade was tough because I really like Martin. I think he has the most upside of any player in the trade. He raked at Arkansas, and I think his skills will translate to the pros. Not sure where he ends up defensively, but all that matters is that he hits. As for Bradley, I think he’s gonna rise up the rankings this upcoming MiLB season. He’s a Rays pitcher that I like a lot.
Pleasure matching up with Chris and the Cardinals again - thanks for the smooth talks.

I agree to this deal. Herrera was a tough one for me to give up. I feel he’s gonna be one of the best catching prospects in the game in the next few years. Adding Martin into the deal is what made it easier. He’s got some solid potential with both power and speed and hope he can be even better then I think he’s going to be. Bradley is going to be a decent young pitcher.
