Seattle sends:
Jason Foley, RP (DET) - $700,000 Tyler Rogers, RP (SF) - $1,675,000 (FA in 2026)
Minnesota sends:
Nick Madrigal, MI (ChC) - $1,225,000 (FA in 2027) Keoni Cavaco, MI (MIN) - MiLB Rights to MIN 2nd round pick in 2024
I am moving on from 2 RP who have been great, in hopes of Madrigal being a good bat. Foley is on an expiring deal on a bad team, and Rogers just does not strike anybody out. The 2nd round pick will be a late pick but that is alright for me, having only a 3rd round pick at the moment. Cavaco is a former 1st round pick who maybe figures it out, or maybe he doesn't. Sending it over t Judge to confirm!

The Twins Confirm!
I have a logjam at MI both short and long-term and wanted to flip some depth to bolster my pitching staff that has been a little banged up as of late. While I like Madrigal's skillsets, it was tough to find consistent starting opportunities for him on my team, and I'm hopeful the duo of Perdomo and Rodgers take the reign of my MI in 2024 and beyond. Cavaco was a make-or-break prospect coming into the year and was most likely getting cut to help keep us under the salary cap. The 2nd round pick should be late in the round. Pushing in some of my chips to help the team continue winning this year.
Rogers and Foley are both earning S/HD opportunities and should help solidify most of the ratio categories (other than K/9 as noted above). Foley's IRS is also a welcome addition to the team as that has been a weak point of my pitching staff.
Good talks with Jeff on this one.
