This is a pure depth move to compete this year. I’m hoping Gurriel and Grichuk can supply some useful ABs this year. Kevin Newman is my other staring MI so Espinal is needed for additional ABs. Giants are sad to see McLain go and wish him the best. Over to Alfie to confirm.

Jays confirm. Excited to get McLain as he should get an opportunity in 2023 or 2024. If he develops as projected, he should fit nicely into my timeline. Easy deal with Kev once we figured out the contract issue. Good luck in his push this season
