Bard became expendable when I obtained Liam Hendricks in the auction. I wanted to redirect his salary to another purpose. Stoffer sought a reliever and Mesa Jr. is a prospect I like.

Tough to part with a young OF with as much upside as VMJ but you gotta give to get and I am trying to piece together a contending RP corps using little salary as possible since I spent big on Stanton and Ozuna (trying to bring back the boys for a run). Bard looks to have the edge on the closing duties but if not he should be the setup/high leverage guy.
