I was looking to add a big bat to be the centerpiece of my offense and there aren’t many I would value over Riley. He also has a good/fair contract and this trade will give me some additional cap space. It’s tough to trade an ace like Cole, who I have no doubt will continue to be a stud for years, but I have some depth at SP so was the willing to make the deal.
