BOS sends:
RP Liam Hendriks CHW - 23: $19M (Bought down 50% to $9.5M)

TB Logic:
This is a win-now move for me. I’m still a believer in Barrero but based on my MI depth chart, I was willing to send him for bullpen help. It hurts to move a borderline Top 100 prospect like Zavala - I may regret it looking back - but my thinking is that Hendriks helps me more in 2023, and I could use a lockdown closer like him.

Moving a 1 year rental for players who have pretty good upside. Hendriks is getting up there in age and I still feel we haven’t seen the best of Barrero yet. Also getting a top 100 prospect with upside and a longer-term SVH piece in Bender. Not sure I have the best chances to compete this year so this move makes sense long-term.
