2023 2nd Round Pick (via ATL)
Chicago Cubs Trade:
C Willson Contreras - $9.625M FA
SP Justin Steele - Standard MiLB
Been tossing this one around for a minute with Sean and had to finally pull the trigger on something. I'm patient enough to wait on Campusano but the possibility of him underwhelming this year or just not breaking through in the second half when I'm obviously lacking at catcher is a risk with my eye on the playoffs. Willson Contreras gives me about the best possible upgrade I could make at catcher this year and Justin Steele is a decent SP option that I think has some intrigue long-term.
