Padres Trade:

SP Taijuan Walker - $10M FA
SP Adbert Alzolay - $750k Pre-Arb
SP Josh Winder - $801k MiLB

Angels Trade:

SP Patrick Sandoval - $750k Pre-Arb

I'm sending away a couple of young arms I'm really high on here as well as a solid MLB SP in Taijuan Walker, but man, do I need some quality innings after this week. I'm hoping that Patrick Sandoval will be the best guy here moving forward; I liked what I saw from him last year. Crossing my fingers that his back is truly fully healed cause he's gonna need it to carry my rotation lmao. Over to Todd and the Angels for confirmation.

Angels confirm.

Would surprise no one if Sandoval is easily the best performer of this bunch this season. But I'm hoping Walker can be 80% of that same production. And by late summer of this season or even going into next year, maybe both Alzolay and Winder are up to that level as rotation stalwarts.


Edit: for roster space, will place Alzolay on IL and drop Danny Santana (250K hit)
