I have had Carlson on the trade block this off-season, but have not really been eager to trade him per se, as I am a fan of his from back when he played for Palm Beach in 2018. But when Matt approached me with this offer, I felt like it could be worth it. I hope that Baddoo can be almost as good as Carlson, plus Baddoo has stolen base upside. I'm also happy to acquire Vargas, who I now have here and in WLB. Doing a 2-for-1 trade with a full roster would normally give me pause, but when Luis Garcia or Pete Fairbanks are officially put onto the IL, I will actually have a roster spot open.
