I love Adell’s potential and really think he puts it together this year. I think Canning still has some untapped potential as well. I think Verdugo is solid but prefer Adell’s upside. I have many relievers so I’m willing to give up Taylor and I think Beeter will be a real solid reliever as well.

I'm trading away some years of control and obvious upside of Adell for the high floor and impact bat of Verdugo. If he increases his HR output down the line, he becomes even more valuable. Taylor is an elite K reliever already, and Beeter has out pitches that should make him a useful reliver in the worst case scenario. I was ready to give up on Canning, as a number of other arms seem to have passed him for a rotation spot or even being next in line. Maybe he turns it around, but it will be for Kevin, not me.
