Miguel Andujar, OF NYY - $1,750,000 estimate for this season and 2 Arb years to follow
Pittsburgh Trades:
Jared Jones, P PIT - Standard MiLB Contract
Rights to Houston Astros 2023 3rd round pick
Cincinnati has reworked the depth pieces on the major league roster this season and was looking to free up some extra cash for the inevitable need later in the year. While Andujar could be a useful player at some point, his wrist injury and inconsistency on the diamond is hard to count on. Pittsburgh has the roster space to allow for a hopeful rebound season, while the Reds will take the flier on a pitcher with great athleticism and stuff to match. If he can shake off the bad luck and harness his command of the strike zone, Jones is going to be a steal.
