Brandon Lewis, CI LAD - $801,000 MiLB Contract
Los Angeles Trades:
Vladimir Gutierrez, SP CIN - $801,000 at 3 years of pre-arbitration, then 3 years of arbitration to follow.
I picked up Lewis and Scott to hopefully fill out my minor league roster with some power potential bats. While they both can be high power guys in the next 2-4 years, both could just as easily flop. Add in Almonte who is 2-3 years away from even sniffing the big leagues, let alone being a contributor, my risk is relatively low in the short term. I like all three, but love getting back a pitcher with six years of control and with consistent innings.
