The Mariners and the Cardinals have agreed to the following trade:
SEA Sends:
Justin Dunn, SP (600,000 protected)
Amed Rosario, MI (2,200,000 arb)
JD Davis, CI (2,300,000 arb)
STL Sends:
Paul Goldschmidt, CI (22,000,000 thru 2024)
Tyler O’Neill, OF (750,000 protected)
Luken Baker, CI (prospect)
This league, for me at least, is all about fun. It’s fun to acquire my favorite players. Paul Goldschmidt is one of my favorite players in baseball, and I am beyond excited to add him to the Mariners! Davis and Rosario are nice, but they ain’t Goldy. While I do love Justin Dunn, his walk rate scares me and I have serious questions as to see if he can stay in the rotation long term.
It was a pleasure working with Chris, and hope to do future deals as well!
