Davis Wendzel MILB

WAS gives:

Armando Cruz MILB

Prospect swaps on this one. I like Wendzel but I’m curious what his long term plan looks like with TEX with Jung close to the show. There is no questions about Cruz’s defense. I’ll take a chance he can grow and improve on his bat this next coming year. Giving $3.9 million to a 16 year old, I would hope WAS see something in Cruz. Over to Lee to confirm.

Confirmed. While I love the Jose Iglesias comps, hes pretty far away from the Majors and doesn't necessarily fit with my window. I like Wendzel a lot, and while I think injuries have held him back developmentally, I see the makings of a solid multi-position starter at the doorstep of the majors. Just have to hope he ends up getting dealt to a different organization where he isn't blocked by Jung et al. Great dealing with Kevin.
