Matthew Boyd, SP - Arb 3 eligible
Nick Snyder, RP - $801,000 MiLB contract
Minnesota Trades:
Max Kepler, OF - $6.75M in 22, $8.5M in 23, & $10M club option in 24
Cincinnati needed a coat controlled OF to if we were ever going maintain our dominance over the NL Central. Kepler isn’t the sexiest player in the world, but neither is Boyd. With Boyd’s health questions Kepler is the perfect man to help stabilize an iffy OF situation. Snyder is a throw in for the Reds as we have a ton of young relief arms, most of whom are farther along than Snyder….he could be very good one day though.
