I wanted Verlander, Bailey wanted Stephenson, Jared wanted Leon, and a lot of back and forth allowed us to smooth out the details. I had a logjam at catcher and I truly believe Verlander has at least 3 good years in that arm of his. Good luck to the Rays and A’s.
