Christian Vazquez, C - 2021 $6,250,000 with a 2022 option for $7,000,000
Siani has a lot of promise but is several years away from playing. With a pretty solid stable of arms built up in the minors my plan is to focus on bringing in young bats over the next several years.
As we try to compete this year however Barnhart is never going to cut it as a consistent starter in fantasy so moving for a cheap yet, productive offensive catcher was important. When Vazquez became available it wa SS perfect marriage because he’ll be here just long enough to buy Tyler Stephenson time to take over.
