Pleasure doing business with the GM of Slam Diego, Kevaghn.I quite like our roster, but this team isn't quite ready to give it a run so I was looking to move Rowdy to strengthen the Jays minor system, specifically at pitching. Kay is a decent arm, but I don't expect him to be a very strong fantasy piece. SD is making a run for the title so it made sense for us to make this trade. I am really happy with all 3 prospects we are adding - Weathers instantly becomes one of the better pitching prospects in our system and I really like the potential upside in Marcano and Mena.

Padres confirm.

Weathers and Tellez mirror each other in that they both caught some helium in 2020 -- one experienced a velo bump that has him tracking like a top 100 prospect while the other radically cut his K-rate while still getting to all of his power. I'm giving up a lot of additional upside; however, Marcano and Mena aren't (currently) among my top prospects and Anthony Kay represents an intriguing throw-in, especially if he can work his way into an SP5 role long-term.

Josh drove a hard bargain, but I was happy to connect with him on this one.
