The Mariners and the Padres have agreed to the following trade:
Mariners send:
JD Martinez, OF (BOS) - $9,675,000 in 21, Player option in 2 for same amount)
Adam Wainwright, SP (STL) - $5,000,000 (FA in 22)
Paul Sewald, RP (SEA) - $500,000 (FA in 22)
Padres send:
Byron Buxton, OF (MIN) - $5,125,000 (ARB 4 in 22)
Zach Davies, SP (ChC) - $8,630,000 (FA in 22)
Matt Brash, P (SEA) - Prospect
Drey Jameson, P (ARI) - Prospect
Mariners accept, obviously. I look at this deal this way. Davies for Waino, both contracts expire after this season. Waino is 109 years old, and i wouldnt bring him back. Davies has a chance to come back to my team next year and be a decent innings eater. Then i look at Martinez for Buxton and the prospects, and that will either haunt me or be a winning move, all depending on Buxton staying healthy. Thats a big ask, but He has been SOOOOO good when healthy. Sewald has been great, but with him becoming a FA at league minimum he was expendable.
Kevaghn is the best as always, and ill throw it off to him to confirm.

PS: Jared, when this is confirmed, please place Brash and Jameson in the minors, With the minors moves i made today (Calling up Hill, and releasing Walton) i have the room.
