San Diego Padres Trade:
MI Hoy-Jun Park - $801k MiLB
OF Bubba Thompson - $801k MiLB
Texas Rangers Trade:
OF Willie Calhoun - $750k Pre-Arb
OF Evan Carter - Standard MiLB
In a league as deep as this, I'm always looking to add however I can, and while Willie Calhoun could be redundant even when healthy, I really like his skills and think he can contribute to my lineup long-term. Park and Thompson are off to great starts this year in the minors with Park even getting the call to the show recently, but I like the gamble on Calhoun becoming the best bat here eventually. If not, maybe Evan Carter comes through for me -- fingers crossed. (Will demote a minor leaguer to make space for Calhoun)
