Bryce Bonnin, P CIN - MiLB contract
Colorado Trades:
Yonathan Daza, OF COL - $750k in 21 then 3 years of arbitration to follow.
With this trade I’ve finally cut all ties with the Reds 2020 drafts picks lol. I never set out to do this but, it’s happened now and we can’t go backwards. I like Bonnin’s outlook and I think everyone will be surprised with my placement of him on my midseason Top 50 update…but when you need OF help now you can’t wait around for Bonnin to be ready in 2023-2025ish range.
Daza will fit in perfectly here so long as he can recapture his May & June Tapia esque performance. He will perfectly match our strategy and really help us in areas of need that we can actually win. And with Seager coming back, I feel like I’ve been saying that every week now, I’m in a great position to make a playoff push. Reds will release Tommy Nance (MiLB release) to make room on the major league roster.
