As far as I know, this has not been an issue in this league thus far. It did just come up in my other league and since the constitutions and basic setups are identical, I felt it was important to clarify it here. To me this is just obvious and goes without saying...but here we are:
1.) You cannot intentionally sit starting pitching to miss the innings limit to tank games. 2.) You cannot intentionally sit a superior player for an inferior player to tank games. Individual days for matchups are fine, but you can't just bench a high end player all week...that's obvious tanking. 3.) If a player is on your roster and he obviously helps you win then you must play him. Period.
NOW...
4.) There is no rule about how many mlb players that you must roster. Full rebuilds are allowed. 5.) There is no rule that you have to have enough pitchers to meet the innings limit. Full rebuilds are allowed.
BUT...
6.) Tanking for the purpose of improving your draft slot while skipping the rebuild part is not allowed.
If anyone is found in violation their picks (that they still own) will move to the end of the round in the next draft. Any questions, let me know. Thanks.
