Trading a couple of guys I really don’t want to, to solidify my roster before I get priced out by the other buyers later while I have limited cap.

May and Puk are my guys and Fraley and DP are good depth pieces, but I can only start so many young, inconsistent guys right now.

Get Kolby to add to my rotation to upgrade over the just dealt Taillon and with a couple more years of control.

Also get IKF and Arraez who are able to play around the diamond and give me options, plus Arraez helps my hitting stats outside of power and speed but IKF helps a bit in those departments.

I’ll regret this deal if my window closes unsuccessfully, but I feel like my team is right there and I’m going for it.

Rangers confirm. Dustin May's ace stuff is too tempting to turn down.Puk and Peterson add 2 more high ceiling, controllable SP. Will miss all 3 guys I'm trading, but adding potentially 3 MLB SP's makes it worth the risk . Great to finally hook up on a deal with Walt, Good luck to the Mets in their championship run!
