Even though Chappy is one of my favorite players, and like all guys with the last name Chapman we share a nickname, this trade offered the opportunity to build for the future while adding needed depth to the roster. Cody is always a pleasure to work with and he's likely to confirm.

Lot of talent headed to the Bay but the ability to put Olson and Chapman in a lineup with Betts and Bellinger was too tantalizing to pass up. Lux and May were the most difficult to part with but you gotta give to get.
