Pretty easy back and forth with Todd. He gets some depth and later picks, I get another 1st. As I play with my draft board, I saw a lot of value in getting another top 30 pick. I also had 9 picks in the top 60, so it was necessary to start to consolidate. Kemp and Choi weren’t a part of my future plans so nothing lost there.

Angels confirm.

Kemp and Choi are nice players that should help me in the summer months, though neither moves the needle a huge amount. I don't normally trade 1sts, but swapping for a pile of 2nds was intriguing, even if the SD pick could end up as the final pick of the round. I've been dealing away a good amount of minor-leaguers this season and will need to replenish come the offseason.
