Cincinnati trades:
Avisail Garcia, OF MIL - $8.2M in 21 then FA in 22 -50% buy down of contract
Chicago trades:
Evan Marshall, RP CHW - $2M in 21 then Arb 3 in 22 Yolbert Sanchez, MI CHW - MiLB contract
Garcia has been a great power hitter with some solid RBI numbers this year but, his up and down streaks are getting hard to time out. With Naquin, Herrera, Tapia, Margot, and Andujar hitting well right now and Vilade coming up at some point, it’s better to use that depth to clear some cap space and fill a need.
Hudson and Marshall arent the best options available but, arent that expensive and are exactly what I need. Sanchez is a pretty big long shot given his age and offensive uncertainty but could be a good pick up.
Reds promote Vilade to make room for Sanchez on the minor league roster.
Sox to confirm.

I've managed well despite losing Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez in my outfield, but felt it necessary to grab some depth at this point. Marshall's been an unpredictable bullpen asset this year and Sanchez is blocked while he's in the Sox organization, so I thought this was pretty nice value.
White Sox release Khris Davis to stay salary-cap compliant.

It was brought to our attention this morning that Avisial Garcia’s contract could not be bought down since he was a in the first year of his free agent contract (as signed in this league’s offseason). For reference to this rule view Article VIII, section 4 - part C of the league constitution. The deal will be reworked thusly to accommodate the trade and subsequent moves thereafter:
Cincinnati Trades: Avisail Garcia, OF MIL - $8,200,000 in 21 then FA in 22
Chicago Trades: Evan Marshall, RP CHW - $2,000,000 in 21 then arb3 in 22 Kris Davis, OF FA - $6,300,000 in 21 then FA in 22 Yolbert Sanchez, MI CHW - Standard MiLB contract
As a part of the original trade, Kris Davis was released to accommodate the contract. As that trade would not have happened as is, Davis would not have been released. Now Davis is traded to the Reds and subsequently released to make the contract status work. Additionally, the Reds will then release Jose Acosta and demote Andres Munoz to the MiLB roster in order to accommodate the acquisition of Jake Cousins.
On the Sox for confirmation.

I accept the revisions posted by Adam. Don't feel a need to explain my thought process again.
