Jake Odorizzi-$8m, $8m, FA
JA Happ-$3.95m, FA
Cole Hamels-$3.75m, FA
To the Baltimore Orioles for
Marcus Stroman-$17.2m, $17.2m, FA
Hunter Harvey-$600k, $750k, arb1, arb2, arb3
Approached Orioles on a bigger deal and eventually negotiated down to this.
Stroman is a recent fav of mine and the chance to have him join Musgrove and Rodon at the top of the rotation was a chance I couldn’t pass up.
I give up Lodolo who is one of my favorite prospects period.
I’ll probably regret this in the off season as he’s tearing up the minors right now and looks like he’ll move right into the bigs and continue, but Stroman signed for another year gives me options.
I move some money to match which frees up a little for B-More and clogs things up for me a bit, but I’m hoping to make a run in the playoffs...🤞🤞🤞
Good working with Aaron and good luck to him on his retooling.
