Kansas City Royals Trade:
SP Austin Gomber - $750k Pre-Arb
It feels about time to step on the gas a bit and my pitching staff needs a little boost. I like what Gomber is doing this year and I have high hopes that he can continue to succeed while pitching in Colorado half the time. It always hurts to bow out of the 1st round of a draft, but it was a worthy sacrifice here, as was Jose Rodriguez. I feel comfortable up the middle for the foreseeable future, so I wish Jose the best in what feels like a breakout season. Great, quick exchange with Jacob on this one; wishing him and his Royals the best as well.
